Greenhouse & Mums
On the front portion of the property, our homestead features two large greenhouses, a parking lot, and a widespread mum field. Each year we have added a little at a time to accommodate the needs of our customers. In the Spring, we open late-March and have a wide selection of young plants. These include gardening plants like herbs and vegetable starts, such as tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, melons, and okra. We also carry onion plants and sets. On the “flower side” of our showroom, we have multipacks and single cups containing many types of annual and perennial flowers and several greeneries. We also have a wide variety of hanging baskets, ferns, and potted planters just in time for Mother’s Day.
Starting in 2021, we began carrying various landscaping plants including ornamental trees, shrubs, and fruit trees and bushes. We also have more mature perennial flowers. These are more established than some of the young plants within the showroom. One benefit to carrying these is shorter bloom time from being planted since some perennials are not first-year bloomers.
During Fall months, we offer most of the same landscaping plants and trees as we do in the Spring. We also have about 2,000 mums in the field. Available alongside our mums, we sell pumpkins for decorating, perennial flowers in cups and packs, flowering cabbage, and a wide selection of mixed planters, perfect for your front porch or sidewalk entry. We also try to have plenty of cornstalks and hay bales available to finish out your fall décor needs!
